Fifty Shades of Grey

Maybe you don't know what it's like to feel like you're violating an entire Taiwanese population of a Boeing 777-330 aircraft, but if you want to know, you should probably go ahead and start reading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy at any point mid-ride on an EVA airlines flight into Taipei.  Just try it.  See how it feels.  See if it felt like an appropriate experience when it's all over.

I promised myself after the 1st book I wouldn't read the 2nd one, and now after the 2nd one, I am actually intent on not reading the 3rd.  Who has good new summer reading suggestions??  Lily W-K, you are no longer welcome to chime in.

  1. I'm confused... Thought you were in Tentena on Friday. Where are yooooouuuuuuu?
Saw Katie Parziale and Pete tonight. Katie is graduating from her Nurse's Practitioner Program next Sat. She and Pete are going to Panama in August and were excited to hear that you have been and would like some feedback. I know they are spending three days on a coffee plantation. Katie also is spending a week there for professional reasons.
The group that Dan Parziale works for, AID STILL REQUIRED, had a fundraiser tonight on Montana that we went to with the Neffs. You might be interested in learning more about this group when you get back.
I sent Dan and Katie the link to your blog.
I started reading about spiders in your part of the world. Here's one thread from Lonely Planet:

Saw some really interesting looking bugs too. I know we have equally as interesting bugs and spiders here but you are most probably closer to nature over there. Just keep that netting around you at night and watch out where you step in the rice paddies!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Mama

  2. Hanna! What an adventure you are on! Thank you for your posts and pictures- it's getting my travel bug itch in full swing:) Would love to hear about your "favorites" of Panama if you get a chance- I'm doing some medical volunteer work first, then Pete is meeting me down there and we are planning on backpacking around/kinda winging it. Would love to hear from you!
